ABSTRACT The purpose of the study was to establish the relationship between rewards and performance of employees at international care and relief. The objective of the study was to establish different forms of rewards and to examine the impact ofrewards on employee performance. The researcher used questionnaires and interviews, as research tools. The data comprised of both primary and secondary data. Random sampling was also used. The findings indicated that employees are rewarded in terms of monetary rewards like salaries, bonuses, overtime payments and also in terms of non monetary rewards like medical benefits, free transport and free meals. It was also discovered that employees of international care and relief are more satisfied with non monetary rewards. The general conclusion was that direct relationship existed between non monetary rewards and employee performance. Therefore non monetary rewards have direct impact on employee performance. The recommendation was that the organization should allow employees to participate in decision making as well as increasing their bonuses and allowances so as to increase productivity.
